The first jam!

This month's theme is Gotta Start Somewhere.

To get good at something, you have to be bad at it for a while. This first jam will almost certainly be pretty rough around the edges, so we might as well lean into it.

There are no rules - feel free to interpret the theme however you like! (or even ignore it altogether) Learn a new tool or instrument, try out a new scale, start a song in a weird way - whatever you find inspiring!

Make sure to upload/import your song using the 'Submit a Song' button below, otherwise it won't show up here on the event page. All jam entries will be hidden until the end of the event.

About the Jam

The little song jam is meant to be a chill, low-pressure opportunity to make some tunes. There's no voting or ranking system, just encouragement and good vibes!

schedule
The Jam runs monthly, and starts on the first Saturday of the month. The theme is announced at the start of the jam, and you have one week to make a song.

location
Submit your songs on the event page! Also, kickoff and listening party streams will be hosted over on Twitch.

equipment
Make your tracks using any tools you like; it doesn't have to be Dreams (but it certainly can be!). Feel free to use this as a space to experiment with new tools and techniques.
